Just a short post tonight, I wanted to share something that happened this weekend.

What is it that motivates you to achieve a goal? I mean what really gets you going, prepared to do what it takes to stay on target, stop the excuses and finally achieve what you want?

Over the weekend one of my clients came to the realization that achieving a specific number on the scales no longer appealed to her. Though our training she has come to understand that there was more to achieving a goal to being a certain weight, but it was like a light bulb finally went off and a weight (no pun intended…) had been lifted from her shoulders.

The only problem now was that she wasn’t sure what would motivate her. So I set her some homework to come up with some ideas for what may help her moving forward, I’m excited to hear from her in the next few days.

For me, part of my motivation comes from the above picture. I was a gymnast for 14 years, entered more than a few competitions and thanks to my amazing coaches and my own dedication; I was able to walk away with some pretty remarkable achievements.

This line of medals is hanging in my studio so anytime I’m doing a workout I am constantly reminded of what I am capable of and that no barrier is too big to overcome.

I’m interested to hear from you. Leave a comment below and tell me what your true motivation is. If you’re unsure, that’s ok too, I’d be happy to help you work it out.
